THERESE French Shop, 1950s three dimensional floral bodice gown in black silk with velvet trim on flowers.
The own featuring dynamic pleated floral detail at the bust. The skirt has a fitted silhouette with a trumpet flare with a full godet center back.
There is a side zipper closure.
This gown is a custom creation for the THERESE French Shop located in the famous Ambassador Hotel in New York City.
The Ambassador hotel, built in 1921, located at 345 Park Avenue between East 50th and 51st Street. The hotel was sold to The Sheraton Hotel Group in 1958. The hotel was demolished in 1966 . THe hotel in its heyday was a favorite haunt of stars such as Marilyn Monroe.
This is a stunning gown in excellent condition.
